Part 1: Definitions
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions of the ATEE Annual Conference 2026, hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions", the following terms shall be understood as:
1.1.1 ATEE Annual Conference 2026 means the ATEE Annual Conference 2026 "Crossing Borders with and in Teacher Education" organised from 25 to 28 August 2026 on the premises of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Białystok, by the University of Białystok in cooperation with the Association for Teacher Education in Europe (ATEE).
1.1.2 Organiser – the organiser of the Conference is the University of Białystok, with its registered office in Białystok, ul. Świerkowa 20B, 15-328 Białystok, NIP (Tax Identification Number) 542-23-83-747, REGON (National Business Registry Number) 050562207. The exclusive e-mail address for correspondence regarding the Conference:

1.1.3 Conference Participant – a natural person with full legal capacity, as well as a legal person or an organisational unit without legal personality, granted legal capacity by statute, who has concluded a registration agreement with the Organiser under the terms specified in these Terms and Conditions.
1.1.4 Conference Website – the event website containing all current information about the Conference:
https://atee.uwb.edu.pl, i.e., regarding the programme, plenary speakers, important dates, registration, costs, presentation abstracts, location, accommodation options, and contact with the Organiser.
1.1.5 Registration Form – the form available on the Website (operated by the ConfTool platform) enabling the Participant to register for the Conference and select services in accordance with the rules specified in these Terms and Conditions.
1.1.6 Payment Panel – the online payment system operated via the Przelewy24 platform, enabling the Participant to make a payment for the selected services.
1.1.8 Newsletter – a service consisting in sending information regarding the Conference in the form of an e-mail to the address provided by the Participant.
Part 2: General Provisions
2.1 The Terms and Conditions define the rules for the registration of Participants and the selection and payment for services offered as part of the Conference.
2.2 The costs of services are quoted in euros (EUR). The Organiser may modify the services and their prices, however, these changes shall not affect services that have already been selected and paid for.
2.3 To use the registration form, it is sufficient to have Internet access, an active e-mail address, and a standard web browser.
2.4 The Organiser informs that the Participant may contact the Organiser:

Part 3: Participant Registration
3.1 Natural persons with full legal capacity, legal persons, and organisational units without legal personality may register for the Conference.
3.2 Registration is carried out via the registration form available on the Conference Website:

3.3 The registration form requires providing the following data: first name and surname, academic degree/title, affiliation, address, e-mail address, presentation format (paper/online paper/poster/no presentation), excursions, conference banquet, visit to the Sybir Memorial Museum, special dietary requirements. Should an invoice be required, the invoice details must be provided.
3.4 The e-mail address provided in the form will be used for all correspondence between the Organiser and the Participant.
3.5 It is forbidden to enter offensive, untrue, or unlawful content in the form.
3.6 The registration confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address specified in the form.
3.7 Payment for the services can be made in the following manner:
3.7.1 online payment via the Przelewy24 platform (supported payment cards: VISA, MasterCard, and Maestro).
3.7.2 traditional bank transfer to the Organiser's account on the basis of a pro forma invoice sent electronically.
3.7.3 The University of Białystok shall not be held liable for any consequences of the malfunctioning of the online payment system. The University shall not be held liable for messages, confirmations, and other data lost or misplaced on the Internet.
3.8 The costs associated with processing online payments are borne by the Organiser. Currency conversion costs in the case of payments in currencies other than PLN are borne by the Participant.
3.9 In the event of resignation from participation, the Participant shall receive a refund of all paid funds solely if the resignation is submitted by 20 July 2026 to the address:
atee@uwb.edu.pl. After this date, no refund is available (including for additional services).
3.10 It is possible to register another participant in place of a previously registered one. For this purpose, the new person's details must be sent no later than 31 July 2026 to the address:
atee@uwb.edu.pl
3.11 Upon the Participant's request, the Organiser issues an invoice in accordance with the applicable provisions of Polish and EU law.
3.12 Failure to pay the registration fee within the specified timeframe will result in the cancellation of the registration.
Part 4: Important Dates and Conference Costs
4.1 Costs of participation in the Conference:
4.1.1 The registration fee includes: participation in workshops and conference sessions, conference materials, coffee breaks, three lunches, a regional dinner, access to the electronic abstract book (e-Abstract Book), and a certificate of attendance.
4.1.2 The registration fee does not include: accommodation costs, breakfasts, the conference banquet, excursions, and other additional attractions.
4.1.3 Registration fee rates:
- 330 EUR early bird fee for ATEE members upon registration by 16 June 2026 (proof of membership required)
- 390 EUR regular fee for ATEE members upon registration by 15 July 2026
- 530 EUR early bird fee for non-ATEE members upon registration by 16 June 2026
- 590 EUR regular fee for non-ATEE members upon registration by 15 July 2026
- 160 EUR early bird fee for ATEE members from low-income countries upon registration by 16 June 2026
- 220 EUR regular fee for ATEE members from low-income countries upon registration by 15 July 2026
- 250 EUR early bird fee for non-ATEE members from low-income countries upon registration by 16 June 2026
- 310 EUR regular fee for non-ATEE members from low-income countries upon registration by 15 July 2026
- 210 EUR reduced fee for PhD students, students, practitioner teachers, retired university staff (proof of status required)
- 210 EUR fee for persons without a paper (passive participation) and accompanying persons (family members)
- 130 EUR online participation for participants from regions affected by armed conflict: Ukraine, Israel, Iran, Persian Gulf countries
4.1.4 Rates for additional services offered as part of the Conference:
- 85 EUR conference banquet
- 65 EUR price of one out-of-town excursion
- 10 EUR price of a city tour
4.2 Important dates:

Part 5: Final Provisions
5.1 The Terms and Conditions are available on the Conference Website.
5.2 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions for valid reasons, in particular: changes in legal regulations, changes in technical conditions, the need to rectify errors, changes in contact details, and the improvement of Participant service.
5.3 Every Participant will be informed about any change to the Terms and Conditions through its publication on the Website. Registered Participants will be notified electronically.
5.4 Amendments to the Terms and Conditions shall enter into force within 7 days from the date of their publication on the Website.
5.5 In matters not regulated by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of Polish law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means.
5.6 Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by the court competent for the Organiser's registered office.
